Thai Gourmet, possibly be the best Thai restaurant in Houston?

I went to eat at Thai Gourmet with my family last night. I have been there many times, they are always packed. Despite their less visibility being located in the corner of a dead shopping center on Richmond street. Keep reading and I will tell you why...

Obviously they serve Thai food. Why their Thai food is better? I think the dishes here are tastier. I am from Indonesia, I am accustomed to bold spicy food. I can tell you surely the dishes here are exploding with flavors. The chefs here are not afraid of putting a little more.

Freshness. I like to go to busy restaurants. One of my fear is being served with old stale food and paying for them. Busy restaurant minimize this possibility. Anyways, I know Thai Gourmet serves fresh food because the shrimp in my Tom Yum soup was very plump. You can easily tell freshness from shrimp meat texture.

The staffs are casual, most young college students and friendly.

Atmosphere is not important for me in a restaurant as long as it is not horrible. Thai Gourmet atmosphere is casual and relaxing. The tables are a bit too close to each other. But otherwise nice.

One strange thing I can not help notice
Is that there are so many Indian customers probably about 60% and I have noticed this
For the past couple of visits

Would I consider Thai Gourmet to be the best Thai restaurant in Houston? Yes, for up until now. I think this is the best so far in Houston. If you don't think so leave me a comment
